Counting down...

I'm a procrastinator. Really. I am one of the best. Take for example our trip. I have a list of about 45 things I need to get done in the next three days. Cleaning the house is on there. Now, reorganizing the junk drawer is cleaning, but not quite as critical as, oh, say, the bathrooms and laundry, but hey, it's got to be done sometime anyhow!! Sebastian and I spent the better part of the day working on various projects. We did do some laundry, and go a bunch of bill stuff organized. And the dishwasher, but failed to put general stuff away and start packing.

We leave in 3 days. We are flying to Orlando, via Toronto for the Disney Marathon weekend. I am doing Goofy's Race and a Half. Yes, the half marathon on Saturday, and the full marathon on Sunday. Not entirely sure what I have gotten myself into, but excited non the less. I want to do well and feel strong at the end of both. I want to make my husband proud. I want to make my parents proud. I'm also excited for the people in my group who are completing their first half or full marathon. It's been incredible watching them progress through longer and longer runs. All the training is behind us now, and it's race time.

I ran 5 kilometres tonight. I really didn't want to. My husband gave me a nudge though and encouraged me, and here I am, post run, feeling great. I have a new favourite song to run to. "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe. I first heard it on a youtube link that had a dad who runs ironmans with his wheelchair bound son. I saw them on Oprah last year sometime, and was so inspired by them. The dad is incredible to run these races with his son. I can't complain when I'm running by myself. It's a great youtube clip. I'll try attaching the link. Not sure if it will work though.

I hope to help out with the next season of Team In Training as well.  It's been a fantastic ride this fall and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The people I have met inspire me. Incredible mentors and incredible participants. It's truly a fantastic group!!

But, I will stop here. I still don't know exactly what this blog is for. I want to effect change in myself and hope that someone out there will help inspire me maybe? Who knows, but hopefully I get there!!
